Field trip to Hogg Mine planned
for May 27th.
Join us as we dig at Hogg Mine in LaGrange, GA on Saturday, May 27th.
We'll be digging for beryl, rose and smoky quartz, and tourmaline.
If you've ever been to Hogg Mine before, please note that there is a new
protocol for arriving at the mine. We will NOT be meeting at
McDonalds. Here's what Chris Painter, owner, asks us to do:
Once you arrive at the mine, look for a crew member who is helping
park cars.
DO NOT choose your own spot. Our crew must guide cars to appropriate
spots so that there is enough room for everyone to come and go
throughout the day.
ONCE YOU ARE PARKED, REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE.
The crew will come around to each vehicle, take your payment, and give
further instructions.
Once you arrive at the mine, look for a crew member who is helping
