Exciting Opportunity! Apply Now!
Dear Friends of the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts,
We are thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Jim Richardson Scholarship Program for
2025, in honor of our beloved instructors and board members. Jim, as
all of our wonderful teachers, had a deep love for the art of lapidary
and jewelry making, and this scholarship reflects his dedication to
nurturing creativity and craftsmanship.
This year, we are offering three types of scholarships to
continue Jim's legacy, honor our teachers, and support our mission
of fostering the art of lapidary and jewelry making:
- Lodging Student Scholarship: Includes tuition, shared lodging, and meals for two students.
- Commuter/Camper Student Scholarship: Includes tuition and lunches for one student.
- Jr. Rockhound Scholarship: Includes tuition, shared lodging, and meals for one young aspiring lapidary artist.
To apply, simply fill out the application form below and
answer the following questions (optional for Jr. Rockhound applicants):
- What does this scholarship mean to you?
- How will you use this scholarship to carry on the art of lapidary and jewelry making?
The application deadline is October 18th, 2024, and scholarships must be used in 2025. Winners will be announced on November 15th, 2024.
To apply, please submit your application by mail or email:
The
number of scholarships awarded will depend on the revenue generated
from this year's t-shirt sales—last year, we were able to provide 8
scholarships!
But that's not all! We are also launching our Annual T-Shirt Design Contest for
2025. We're calling all creative minds to submit designs that represent
the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts and the upcoming school
year (2025).
The winner will receive $100 in cash and have their design featured on next year’s official t-shirt! Submit your design by December 31st, 2024, either by dropping it off at the school or emailing it to kristine@lapidaryschool.org. The winning design will be selected by January 15th, 2025.
We can't wait to see your applications and creative
designs, and we're excited to continue Jim Richardson's mission of
promoting fellowship and learning in our community.
Best regards,
Kristine
