Not a real attractive shot, but my best specimens of this are gone. Pink brithiolite with zircon and eggletonite from 3M Big Rock Quarry, Pulaski County, Arkansas. This was collected about 1987 from thin pegmatite dikes in the west end of the quarry. Unfortunately little activity has taken place in that area since. Most the brithiolite located has been white fibers, but this material is very interesting tabular hexagonal plates. FOV is about .5 X .4mm. Imaged with a Canon 40D, 23mm Nikon objective and 300mm Canon FD telephoto in a tube configuration and stacked using Combine Z software.
