Iridescent anatase from the 3M Big Rock Quarry, Pulaski County, Arkansas. These unusual anatase crystals were discovered by Don Reems and Jim Musick in 2009 from a small area of pegmatite. The whitish material is clay and the matrix is feldspar. This anatase is enriched in Nb (up to 4%), is transparent internally and is zoned. Only a few specimens were found and all of them were iridescent. FOV is .4 X .5 mm. Imaged with a Canon 40D, 23 mm Nikon objective in a tube configuration with a 300mm Canon FD telephoto. Stacked using Combine Z software.
