Mosandrite pseudomorph, 3M Big Rock Quarry, Pulaski County, Arkansas. This is how almost all the mosandrite and lavenite are found in the pegmatites. They form early and are altered by late alkali fluids. This example is a mass of mostly catapleiite and ?? Mosandrite and lavenite that are embedded in the pegmatite feldspar often remains clear and unaltered. Imaged with a Canon 40D, 30mm B&L lens and stacked with Combine Z. FOV about 1.5 X 2.5mm
