Photographed by Henry Barwood
An old titanite from a gas cavity at the 3M Big Rock Quarry, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Note the selective coating of faces with some sort of fine-grained material. The titanites are so transparent you can see the feldspar underneath them. FOV is about 2 X 2.5mm. Imaged with a Canon 40D, 23mm Nikon objective and 300mm Canon FD telephoto in a tube configuration. Stacked using Combine Z software.
