Thanks to all that came. We had 18 members tonight. Three were new members.

Our program was on geodes and how they become a crusty container for an assortment of minerals from delicate crystal shapes to a solid multilayered beautiful mass, perfect for polishing. And it all started with a bubble trapped in cooling lava, filling with mineral laden liquid that turns to a gel that grows the geode innards that stays a hidden surprise until you crack it open. Thanks Levan for that presentation. I didn't know, and now I do. And thank you Sandra, that was a lot of work bringing and displaying those wonderful specimens. And also Ivey for the geode assortment you brought.  I'm sorry if you weren't there to see them. Very impressive.
